I absolutely love this photo of Hazel. My first visit to the Smoky Mountains was in April 2017. I have been searching for a black bear photo for years and this one stole my heart. This beautiful girl was photographed the same year. I am very pleased with the canvas print!!

Legend has it they had come down from the north, in search of new territory to play a foreign game where players wore ice skates and used wooden sticks to slap a puck into a net. With peculiar names like Evgeni, Jean, and Jaromir, they formed an expedition to take their game south. They would be led by a great man they revered and knew as Lord Stanley of Preston. According to folklore, �penguins would guide them� on a journey over hundreds of miles of rough terrain and ice laden rivers. They were to follow the penguins until they had reached a �magical place where three rivers met�. It was here they would find a large �igloo made of ice surrounded by three bars of gold�. Along the water routes, they encountered extreme conditions which made the journey nearly impossible, but, with hard work and determination, they finally reached their goal. A man known...
About Fred Carrow
Fred Carrow was born and raised in Oil City, Pennsylvania and graduated from Edinboro University. He currently holds teaching degrees in Art Education and Social Studies with Bachelor of Fine Art degrees in Painting, Printmaking and Ceramics. He has been teaching art and photography at Keystone High School for the past 30 years. His paintings depict a wide range of various subjects from Pittsburgh sports art to historical subjects such as Jefferson�s Monticello in Virginia. His artworks are in private collections throughout the United States and abroad. Fred has also won numerous awards in both local and international art competitions throughout his lifetime and continues to be inspired mostly by what is just outside his own front...
