Description
I took a little hike through Thousand Island State Conservancy Area in Kaukauna this morning. Found this juvenile bald eagle flying and hunting, with a paper mill in the distance, making an interesting background. These are six shots of the same bird, taken 1/20th second apart, and then assembled into one motion-study image. When I was young, the bald eagle was endangered and it was thought that their numbers had dwindled down to under 400 birds left in the world. Now they are everywhere again, and are living proof that humans can preserve other species if we act wisely and responsibly. The background looks reminiscent of Mondrian.
