This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.
Artist's Description
The Sputh Round House at Camp Brosius sits on a point at the mouth of Schwartz's Bay near the public access, and probably dates from around the time of the camp's founding in 1921. The camp was originally owned by the Normal College of the American Gymnastic Union, which merged with Indiana University in 1941 and is now known as the School of Physical Education and Tourism Management at Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis. It originally offered summer physical education programs for students of the college, then operated as a children's camp from 1937-1974. Since then, it has offered family camping to IU alumni, staff and the the general public. The octagon house is an old friend, as I used to enjoy fishing (and, truth be told, bikini-watching) on this beautiful lake on a regular basis.
About Bill Pohlmann
I'm a Wisconsin native, currently living in the St. Paul, Minnesota area. I've been taking pictures since I was a child, and my first "real" camera was a Nikon 35mm SLR I received as a gift in my college days. But photography didn't become a serious interest until 2005, when I purchased my first digital camera. Suddenly, I found myself freed from the constraints of film, and the instantaneous feedback of the camera display had me experimenting with different settings and pushing the shutter button like a madman. Since then, I've logged about half a million exposures. I grew up in Manitowoc, Wisconsin along the shores of Lake Michigan, and return regularly to visit family. I also spend a lot of time at my family's lake cottage...
